"Jane Quinlan has been a wonderful clerk for the village and we will truly miss her. She has gone out of her way to attend events or speak with residents she comes into contact with on a daily basis. She has especially been helpful to me, from the times she swore me in as a lieutenant and finally chief of police," said Village Manager William "Randy" Palmer, who retired as chief this year. "Jane truly cares about Oak Lawn and it showed in all that she did. I will miss Jane and the morning discussions we would have about events that were occurring throughout the village. I know this decision was difficult for her to make, as I recently had to make the same decision, but I do know her stress level will be reduced and she will have more time to spend with her wonderful husband Pat, and all of her children and grandchildren she is so proud of. I wish Jane nothing but good health and happiness in her retirement. Jane was truly a class act," said Palmer, advising her to "go and enjoy life."
