Edith B. Meyer, 100, of Oak Lawn, died June 28 at Sunny Hill nursing home in Joliet. Visitation was held July 2 at Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth. A funeral Mass was held July 3 at First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn. Interment was at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park.
Mrs. Meyer is survived by her sons, John and Howard; her daughters, Arlene Diesel and Marianne McCowin; and 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Meyer was born in Chicago. She worked as a secretary, was a past matron of the Starlite Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Garden Seniors-Sights Unlimited and the First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn.
