James Carpenter, 87, of Palos Hills, died March 15 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights. Visitation was at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. A funeral service was last Saturday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass was offered the same day at St. Patricia Church. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife, Luella; his son, James; his daughter, Kathleen Bolognani; his sister, Kay Sullivan; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Carpenter was born in Chicago. He was a machine parts salesman. The family has suggested that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
