Edward J. Janusz, 87, formerly of Evergreen Park, died March 27, at Edward J. Hines V.A. Hospital. Visitation was held at Thornridge Funeral Home in Orland Park on March 29. A chapel service was to be held at the funeral home on March 30. Burial was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Mr. Janusz is survived by his wife, Frieda; his sons, Lawrence and Martin; his brothers, Alex, Thomas, Chester, Julius and John; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Janusz was a retired railroad switchman for the Penn Railroad. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a VA Hospital volunteer in the Paraplegic Ward with 10,000 hours of service. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children
